Why Agility is the New “Moat” in 2026?

Mark Gray on the 2026 Shift: "Success in 2026 isn't about working harder; it’s about building a system that moves as fast as your customers do."

As we move into March, the initial New Year energy has shifted into something more focused: Execution. In my February update, I spoke about why 2026 is no longer just about having a great product; it’s about your Execution Capacity.

This month, I want to talk about the specific type of execution that is separating the leaders from the laggards this quarter: Channel Agility.

The 2026 Shift: From Demand to Readiness

We are now fully operating in the era of Agentic Commerce. Shoppers have moved beyond standard search bars to AI shopping assistants that evaluate products based on the depth of data enrichment we provide. The data from the first two months of 2026 is clear: 47% of Australian retailers have now integrated AI as a core business function to manage this new discovery journey.

However, as many brands look to expand, we’ve noticed a recurring theme: the biggest challenge isn’t finding customer demand but it’s operational readiness.

In this environment, if it takes your team months to “test” a new channel because you are held back by manual workflows or rigid backend systems, you aren’t just behind – you’re invisible to the shoppers of 2026.

Agility: Moving from “Project” to “Process”

Historically, adding a new sales channel was a “Project”. It involved manual mapping, technical bottlenecks, and weeks of back-and-forth. In 2026, high-performing brands have turned this into a Process.

The goal of our 2026 Roadmap is to remove the “technical friction” from your growth. We are seeing a massive shift toward Unified Commerce, where merchants are migrating away from legacy marketplace apps toward a scalable infrastructure that can handle 30+ channels without increasing headcount.

Why this matters for your Q2 bottom line:

  • Saving YOU Time: Moving from manual tasks to AI-driven decision-making ensures you hit the ground running on new platforms.
  • Greater Transparency: Real-time visibility across your entire ecosystem ensures you never “fly blind” into a new market.
  • Making Things Easier: By automating catalogue and inventory management, your team can finally focus on the creative brand-building that humans do best.

Join Us on March 31st: Scaling Without Complexity

To help you navigate these changes, we are sitting down with our partners at Neto by Maropost on March 31st.

This isn’t a high-level conceptual session. We will be sharing the up-to-date facts and trends happening in Australia and New Zealand right now, and more importantly, showing you how to add 30+ marketplace channels without disrupting your inventory accuracy or overcomplicating your operations.

We’ll dive deep into where merchants typically get stuck when launching new channels and exactly how to avoid those traps.

Success in 2026 isn’t about working harder; it’s about building a system that allows you to move as fast as your customers do. I look forward to seeing you there.
