CrescoData News & Insight March 2025

A Focus on SE Asia and Growth Potential Through eCommerce and Channels
Did you know that CrescoData was born out of a Southeast Asian start-up in Singapore? We’ve always been deeply connected to the region, supporting online channels and marketplaces as they continue to grow. It’s exciting to witness the rapid evolution of e-commerce, especially alongside our existing partners and merchants!
If you’re already selling in Southeast Asia or considering expanding in 2025 and beyond, here are a few key trends to keep in mind:
🚀 Intensified Marketplace Competition
The battle between Shopee, Lazada, and new entrant Temu is reshaping the e-commerce landscape. Video commerce is on the rise, alongside the continued growth of affiliate marketing and recommerce (the resale of repurposed or refurbished products).
📦 A New Consignment Model Emerging
Marketplaces like Shopee and Lazada have introduced Shopee Choice and Lazada Choice, a consignment-based model where platforms source products directly from sellers to secure the best prices. This approach, already familiar in Australia and New Zealand, isn’t replacing traditional brand and retailer sales but rather expanding product variety, attracting more customers to the platform.
📈 SE Asia’s E-Commerce Boom
According to the International Trade Administration, e-commerce growth in many Southeast Asian countries is set to double by 2030. With the market evolving rapidly, now is the perfect time to explore expansion opportunities.
If you’re interested in partnering with CrescoData to grow your presence in Southeast Asia, we’d love to help!
Warm regards,
